Excerpt from pattern:
A cut little playmate for the children in your family may also become part of a dog collection. Made of two ounces of 4 ply yarn and a number 5 bone crochet hook, it will measure about 7 1/2" high. You will need some scraps of contrasting yarn and 3/4 yard of ribbon.
