Slippers and Scuffs in 2 Crochet Patterns

1961 Vintage

The upper parts of these attractive slippers are made of black crochet cotton and the soles of cotton rug yarn. Four narrow strips of white lace are stitched across the top of each slipper for decorative contrast.


You will need two balls of black J. & P. Coats Knit-Cro-Sheen, two balls of black Coats & Clark’s O.N.T. cotton rug yarn, a number 1 and a number 00 steel crochet hook, one yard of 3/8-inch white lace and one yard of round elastic.


Directions are given for small size. Changes for medium and large sizes are in parentheses.

1953 Vintage
This pair of slippers can be made in very little time from American Thread Company Star crochet yarn and a size 00 steel crochet hook. 
Directions are given for medium size (sizes 5,6,7), Small size (sizes 3,4) and large size (sizes 8, 9) are given in parentheses.
